A Ukrainian NGO called Fight for Right fights for the rights of disabled people in Ukraine. They have a crisis fund to help disabled people in Ukraine that you should donate to.
Click here to go to the donation page
Here’s what the creator of the go fund me page said:
“In the midst of the mounting conflict in Ukraine, activists with disabilities in Ukraine are attempting to coordinate accessible shelter, evacuations, and emergency services. Please consider donating in this time of immense need. Funds will be transferred directly to a Ukrainian NGO ( Fight for Right NGO) focused on serving Ukrainians with disabilities. Funds received through this Go Fund Me will be going directly to the organization to provide a quick reaction on emergency cases of people with disabilities in Ukraine.”
So please donate as much as you can afford to help disabled people in Ukraine
I’ve been watching the developments in Ukraine over the last couple of days with growing disbelief. I don’t even know what to say that will do justice to the insanity of it. I feel so sad for the people of Ukraine but especially for the disabled people of Ukraine.
I’ve seen the traffic jams of people trying to flee Kiev but what about the people that can’t leave? Where would disabled people go? They can’t just leave because Ukraine still has a lot of inaccessibility of buildings and infrastructure. Many of the shelters are inaccessible.
This video gives you an idea of what it’s like for disabled people in Ukraine:
it looks like a lot of buildings and pavements are not very accessible, so imagine how difficult it would be to leave in a hurry under the threat of an invading army. It’s hard to imagine how frightening it must be.
Putin has a lot to answer for and I sincerely hope that he gets the message soon from the international community and pulls out his forces. It’s madness, complete and utter madness. As if the world didn’t have enough to worry about at the moment. His reasons for invading are total bullshit.
At least by donating we can do something to help the most vulnerable people in Ukraine.
If you are Ukrainian and reading this I hope you find safety. My thoughts are with you.
Please share this post so that as many people as possible are aware of the fund to help disabled people in Ukraine and help them get as much money as possible
Donation made Alex, thank you for highlighting this organisation.
Thanks! 🙂 x

Thanks for sharing the link, John. I can’t imagine what it must be like for disabled people in Ukraine. It must be terrifying. But I’m glad there are people out there helping them escape.
